Job summary

Agora is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to secure our products and services. You will partner with Engineering from design through production, building and reviewing controls, architectures, code, and configurations.

You’ll identify meaningful risks and help teams implement pragmatic solutions while shaping our security monitoring and incident response program. You will work on cloud and container security, threat modeling, and vulnerability management, with a hands-on role across AWS,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product security, application security, cloud security or related security engineering.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; ability to review application code (TypeScript/Node.js/JavaScript).
• Experience securing AWS environments, containerized workloads, Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD/GitOps workflows.
• Practical knowledge of common app vulnerabilities, threat-modeling, secure design principles, and modern identity patterns.
• Hands-on experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, CSPM) and security telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Perform security reviews of system designs, code, APIs, and infrastructure; identify risks and guide remediation.
• Design, implement, test, and tune security alert rules and detection logic.
• Triage detections; collaborate with SOC and engineering to resolve incidents.
• Develop reusable security guidance, patterns, checklists, and engineering standards.
• Operate vulnerability management and coordinate with teams for remediation.
• Support third‑party pentests, audits, and security engagements.
