Job summary

G2 Ops, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) across Navy programs at our San Diego office and customer sites.

You will review program cyber posture, identify risks, and help drive remediation while collaborating with a skilled engineering and cybersecurity team. You will lead technical assessments, analyze findings, and communicate trends to stakeholders, maintaining at least 40 hours of annual cybersecurity education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience assessing cybersecurity posture, risks, vulnerabilities, or security control effectiveness.
• Knowledge of continuous monitoring principles, security controls, risk assessment, and remediation activities.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE, CAP, CASP, or PMP.
• Active DoD Secret clearance at start with ability to obtain TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical cybersecurity assessments for ConMon across Navy programs.
• Evaluate cybersecurity posture to identify risks, control weaknesses, and monitoring gaps.
• Analyze findings to distinguish significant risks and support remediation.
• Identify recurring trends and monitoring gaps across programs.
• Assess proposed remediation activities and provide recommendations.
• Track cybersecurity risks and findings to enable remediation.
• Collaborate with program stakeholders to understand system risks and actions.
• Provide cybersecurity insight to strengthen security posture and monitoring.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and program stakeholders.
• Maintain at least 40 continuing education hours per year for Cybersecurity Workforce.
