Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to secure and harden our application, cloud, and infrastructure estate across on-prem and major clouds. You’ll implement security controls, optimize patching cycles, and scale AI-augmented tooling while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating across regions.

You’ll partner with teams to land changes safely, report on security metrics, and contribute to a strong, inclusive security program as part of our Service Management & Transformation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security, software, or DevSecOps engineering experience across app, infrastructure, and cloud.
• Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI (advantage).
• Hands-on in patching, hardening, cloud configuration, network isolation, and identity/access controls.
• Experience with SAST/SCA tooling and remediating vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Secure and harden the estate hands-on across the full stack (apps, infra, cloud).
• Improve and optimize security processes, patching cycles, and golden-image refreshes.
• Implement and tune controls across OS, containers, CI/CD, cloud config, and networks.
• Scale AI-augmented SAST/SCA tooling; review PRs and drive risk-based fixes.
• Package reusable patterns and runbooks; mentor junior engineers.
• Partner with application and platform teams to land changes safely across regions.
• Provide accurate security metrics and status into program reporting.
