Job summary

Alchemi is seeking a security-focused software engineer based in New York City. You will own security across the platform, from design to production, and lead customer security reviews with the commercial team.

Ideal candidates have hands-on cloud security experience, AWS expertise, and a proven track record with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 frameworks. You will help drive compliance and secure-by-default tooling across the team.

Qualifications

• Several years as a software engineer with real depth in security.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, with IaC and CI/CD.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks, and ability explaining controls to auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own application and cloud security across the platform, from design review to production.
• Build and run identity and access: SSO, OAuth, tenant isolation and least-privilege access.
• Lead customer security reviews alongside our commercial team.
• Drive our compliance programmes and keep the evidence behind them current.
• Set up monitoring, incident response and secure-by-default tooling the team can rely on.
