Job summary

Oshi Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own the security of our remote healthcare platform. You’ll shape security architecture, manage identities and secrets, and integrate security into AI-enabled engineering workflows.

This hands-on role focuses on practical security controls across AWS, SaaS environments, and product design. You will lead threat modeling, secure code practices, and vendor risk assessments while collaborating with a small cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in security engineering with cloud security (AWS) experience.
• Hands-on with secure SDLC tooling (SAST/DAST, GitHub Advanced Security/CodeQL, secret scanning).
• Strong in identity management (Okta, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, MFA) and non-human identities.
• Experience securing AI/LLM and agentic systems and explaining tradeoffs.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python) and shell.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule, SOC 2, and NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Own application and product security, focusing on access-control and secrets exposure flaws.
• Design security architecture for the shift to an agentic software lifecycle.
• Build and run non-human identity and secrets management at scale.
• Secure AWS environment end to end (IAM, network, logging, encryption).
• Enforce security tooling, review code paths, and enforce CODEOWNERS reviews.
• Evaluate AI and third-party vendor integrations touching PHI.
• Own vulnerability management and drive findings to closure.
• Support HIPAA safeguards and build automation for a lean security function.
