Job summary

Oshi Health seeks a Senior Security Engineer to own the security of our fully remote, cloud-native healthcare platform. You will set security architecture standards, manage identity and secrets, and embed security into engineering and AI workflows from the start.

You’ll lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and secure code reviews while ensuring HIPAA readiness and risk-mitigated automation across AWS and SaaS environments. This is a hands-on, builder-focused role with a remote-first team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in security engineering with depth in application/product and cloud security (AWS).
• Hands-on with secure SDLC tooling: SAST/DAST, GitHub Advanced Security/CodeQL, secret scanning.
• Strong in identity and access management including Okta, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, MFA, non-human identities.
• Familiarity with securing AI/LLM and agentic systems and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own application and product security, including threat modeling and secure code review.
• Design security architecture for agentic SDLC and risk controls.
• Manage non-human identity and secrets across SaaS and AWS estate.
• Secure AWS environment end to end: IAM, logging, encryption, and network segments.
• Enforce security tooling: Code scanning, branch protection, and CODEOWNERS reviews.
• Review AI/vendor integrations touching PHI for data flow and retention.
• Own vulnerability management and penetration-testing relationships.
• Support HIPAA Security Rule safeguards and detection/response automation.
