Job summary

Luxer One seeks a senior security engineer to own the security program across cloud infra and AI agents, including IoT hardware and firmware. You will drive incident response, threat modeling, and secure SDLC integration in a fast-growing environment.

You should bring hands-on depth in IT and product security, plus experience with AI governance and end-to-end compliance ownership. This role is on-site/hybrid in Sacramento, CA with strong ownership and high impact.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of security experience across IT and product security.
• Founding or first dedicated security hire at startup or growth-stage company preferred.
• Hands-on security operations depth: SIEM, IR, vulnerability management, incident ownership.
• Product security experience: threat modeling, pen-test coordination, secure SDLC enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Own the security program across cloud infrastructure and AI agents.
• Design and implement security controls for IoT hardware and firmware.
• Lead incident response and security reviews with engineering teams.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to secure autonomous systems and governance frameworks.
