Jobgether is seeking a senior Software Engineer, Security in the United States to own end-to-end security engineering across product, infrastructure, and IT environments. The role blends software engineering with practical security execution, confronting vulnerabilities and hardening systems in an AI-focused tech landscape.

You will work across product and research teams, implementing security solutions rather than just advising.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software, or 5+ years with exceptional relevant experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills.
• Broad security expertise across product, infrastructure, and IT security.
• Generalist mindset with ability to work across multiple security domains.
• Experience in early-stage startups and as a security engineer hire.
• Ability to identify problems and implement fixes directly.

Responsibilities

• Own security engineering initiatives across product, infrastructure, corporate systems, and IT environments.
• Identify and directly resolve authentication and authorization vulnerabilities across the platform.
• Improve management of keys, credentials, and secrets across projects and systems.
• Harden internal tooling and integrate off-band tools into the platform safely.
• Refactor permissioning systems and reduce exposure of sensitive capabilities.
• Contribute to core backend engineering initiatives with the team.
• Lead and execute security reviews and remediation strategies.
• Participate in incident response and strengthen security tooling.
• Evaluate security needs and adapt priorities as the business evolves.
• Partner with engineers to embed security into systems and development practices.
• Take ownership of security problems from identification to verification.
