Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a Senior Security Engineer to shape security strategy for Power Platform, Dynamics 365 F&O, and cloud-native environments. You will partner with Architecture, Cloud, Cyber Security, and Data & AI to ensure guardrails, governance, and operational readiness across platforms, APIs, and AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of security engineering, application/platform security, or cloud security in a mission-critical enterprise environment.
• Hands-on with Azure, AWS and GCP security architecture, including identity, access, workload security, and cloud governance alignment.
• Experience designing and implementing security controls across API ecosystems, application architectures, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated experience securing AI/LLM systems, agent-based workflows, and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain security architecture standards for platforms and cloud environments.
• Apply Zero Trust and least-privilege principles to identity, access, API, and automation patterns.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for applications and AI systems.
• Establish secure patterns for workload isolation, identity propagation, and service segmentation.
• Govern API security and enforcement across platforms and enterprise services.
• Define secure patterns for AI and agent governance, data protection, and auditing.
