Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to define and govern security across our modern platforms, cloud ecosystems, and AI-enabled workflows.

The role drives secure foundations enabling Power Platform, Dynamics 365 F&O, and cloud-native solutions with strong governance, threat modeling, and data protection practices. You will collaborate with Architecture, Cloud, and Data & AI teams to reinforce security across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IS/CS/Cybersecurity.
• 8-10+ years in security engineering or cloud security.
• Experience with Azure, AWS and GCP security architecture.
• Experience securing AI/LLM systems and MCP domain agents.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, OWASP Top 10, and secure SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Define security architecture standards for Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 F&O, and clouds.
• Apply Zero Trust and least-privilege to identity, API, MCP and automation patterns.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for applications, integrations, AI systems, and agents.
• Govern secure data pathways and encryption standards across platforms.
• Ensure SOX ITGC controls and governance are integrated into architecture.
