Job summary

Belk is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to deploy and automate security tools, monitor cloud and AI/ML environments, and lead incident response. The role includes mentoring the security team and improving SOC operations, with hands-on work across SIEM, XDR, and EDR stacks.

Responsibilities emphasize building defensive AI controls, threat hunting, and scalable security workflows. The position is onsite in Charlotte three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10–15 years in IT and Cyber Security combined.
• Hands-on with multiple security control stacks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation for detection, incident response playbooks, and tool orchestration.
• Design defenses for enterprise generative AI tools and LLM pipelines.
• Lead incident response, threat hunting, and SOC efficiency improvements.
• Deploy AI-powered security tools to streamline threat triage and SOC workflows.
• Organize, lead, and mentor security team members.
