Confidential is seeking a Senior Security Engineer in Dallas, TX to design and strengthen enterprise security across network and cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in cybersecurity with Palo Alto firewall experience, cloud security in AWS/Azure, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto preferred).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching.
• Experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise security architecture across network and cloud environments.
• Lead Zero Trust, network segmentation, and access control initiatives.
• Architect, deploy, and manage next‑generation firewalls (Palo Alto experience preferred).
• Secure hybrid cloud environments across AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and risk reviews for new technologies and projects.
• Support Tier III incident response and perform root cause analysis.
• Evaluate and implement AI‑assisted security technologies to improve monitoring, threat detection, automation, and response capabilities.
• Manage and improve endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability management, and content filtering solutions.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training and best practices across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement of the company’s security posture through proactive recommendations and strategic planning.
• Partner with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the technology environment.
