Stripe, Inc. is seeking a Data Foundations software engineer to design and scale data pipelines and governance across Product, Data Science, and GTM teams. You will own data products and help deliver reliable, scalable data services across the organization.

You will work with Spark, Scala, Java, SQL, and Python to build data infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling, collaborating with multiple internal teams to solve complex data challenges and drive strategic insights for Stripe customers.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years in a Software Engineering role focusing on data services
• Strong engineering background with a focus on data
• Experience writing and debugging data pipelines with distributed frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Pig)
• Curious approach to uncovering data quality issues in data stores
• Backend language knowledge (Scala, Java, or Go) and strong SQL
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements, and design shared datasets

• Design, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products for Product, Data Science, and GTM.
• Manage service levels for data pipelines and full-stack apps serving stakeholders.
• Build and refine data foundations—infrastructure, pipelines, tools using Spark, Scala, Java, SQL, Python.
• Leverage LLMs and Agents to produce high-quality data on ambiguous problems.
• Refine data marts to forecast business performance and measure progress toward targets.
• Build data services that track product metrics and impact of strategies.
• Work across Spark, Scala, Java, SQL, Python across tenure.
