Cymertek Corporation seeks a meticulous Security Control Assessor to evaluate security controls across information systems, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with NIST and other standards. You will coordinate with IT and security teams to review configurations, perform audits, and deliver actionable recommendations for strengthening security postures.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with strong analytical skills, experience in security testing, risk assessments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; alternative experience considered per contract practice.
• Proficiency with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and control testing methods.
• Experience with audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Ability to interpret security policies and apply controls across systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess effectiveness of security controls in information systems.
• Conduct security control testing and evaluations.
• Identify gaps and vulnerabilities; recommend remediation.
• Collaborate with IT/security teams to review and implement controls.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (NIST, FISMA).
• Produce detailed findings and actionable remediation reports.
