Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Security Control Assessor to help support client missions. You will own vulnerability assessments, write final reports, and defend findings, including risk mitigation strategies.

This role requires strong written communication and the ability to defend security decisions before stakeholders. Applicants must have 6+ years of related cybersecurity experience, a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and cloud security assessment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Information Systems, IT, Cybersecurity)
• 6+ years of related experience
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Experience with RMF/NIST 800-53 and ICD 503/CNSSI 1253 or equivalent
• Cloud security assessment experience (AWS, Google, IBM, Azure, Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Write final reports and defend all findings with risk/Vulnerability details and mitigation strategies
• Report vulnerabilities identified during security assessments
• Prepare penetration testing RoE, Test Plans, and SOPs
• Conduct security reviews and provide reports to improve defense mechanisms
• Assist in developing and implementing security controls and assessments
