Copello Global is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to own and deliver an established cyber security strategy. The role focuses on turning strategy into practical security improvements across security engineering and technology functions.

The ideal candidate will combine senior-level consultancy with strong technical delivery, including hands-on work with security controls, cloud security and modern tooling, while guiding engineering and security teams toward tangible results.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to take ownership of implementing and delivering an established Cyber Security strategy.

The strategy has already been defined by the current CISO. Your role will be to turn that strategy into practical security improvements, working across senior stakeholders, security teams and technology functions to ensure it is effectively delivered.

This is not a purely governance or programme-management role. We're looking for someone with the technical depth to get hands-on with security technologies and understand how controls are implemented and operated.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of delivering the existing Cyber Security strategy and roadmap
• Translate strategic objectives into practical technical initiatives and deliverables
• Work with senior stakeholders to track priorities, risks and progress
• Assess existing security capabilities and identify implementation gaps
• Lead or support the implementation of security controls and technologies
• Work across areas including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, cloud security and vulnerability management
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and security teams
• Support security architecture, incident response and security improvement initiatives
• Ensure security projects are delivered effectively and aligned with the agreed strategy
• Report progress, risks and recommendations to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in Senior/Principal Cyber Security Consultants, Security Architects or senior security engineers who have moved into a consulting or leadership environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong experience delivering Cyber Security initiatives in complex environments
• Experience implementing security strategies or transformation programmes
• Strong technical knowledge across modern security technologies
• Hands-on experience with security tooling and technical controls
• Experience across cloud security, SIEM/SOAR, IAM/PAM, EDR/XDR or similar
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to operate between senior leadership and technical delivery teams

The key is finding someone who can take a strategy that has already been agreed and make it happen - combining senior-level consultancy with genuine technical capability.
