Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a skilled Software QA Engineer to develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure overall product quality. The role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

The team develops cutting-edge imaging systems across hardware and software, applying computer vision, perception, and sensor data to support national security objectives. Strong collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Experience with Git and common platforms like Github or Bitbucket.
• Testing in Linux and Windows environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong debugging, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt & contribute to changing priorities.
• Aptitude for learning.
• Basic proficiency in Python or other coding languages.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.
• Automated UI testing tools like Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
• Experience writing or analyzing code with LLMs (e.g., Claude Code, Codex).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software & firmware products.
• Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing with hardware-in-the-loop.
• Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects.
• Collaborate with developers to debug issues and verify fixes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
