Job summary

Verizon seeks a Distinguished Engineer - Systems Architecture in Product Security to champion security initiatives across the product lifecycle and collaborate with engineering leadership to embed security into every stage of development.

You will conduct architecture reviews, lead threat modeling, and drive automated security processes while mentoring teams and scaling secure design across Web, API, Mobile, Cloud, IoT, and AI domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant security experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Primary Product Security Engineer coordinating security reviews across a product portfolio.
• Provide guidance and security domain expertise to development teams for application and systems development.
• Identify systemic vulnerabilities and lead security enhancements.
• Track emerging threats across Web, API, Mobile, Cloud, IoT, and AI systems to design robust controls.
• Promote shared security responsibility with tools, resources, and insights for product teams.
