Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect Senior Lead to help shape security compliance across our distributed cloud and edge platforms.

You will partner with engineering, product, and security teams to assess controls against standards and translate requirements into resilient technical blueprints. You will guide audits, support control assessments, and work with InfoSec to drive remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation
