Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead strategic Security Operations & Threat Response initiatives, defining future-state architecture and driving technology modernization. You will ensure integration across security platforms and guide long-term strategy from our Chicago-area offices.

The role requires deep cloud security experience with AWS/Azure, plus hands-on leadership of SIEM, SOAR, and incident response, in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity, security engineering, or enterprise architecture experience.
• 5+ years designing or leading Security Operations technologies.
• Deep expertise in SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intelligence, ServiceNow, Detection Engineering, or Incident Response.
• Strong cloud security architecture experience with AWS and Azure.
• Experience designing API-driven integrations and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture and long-term security strategy.
• Develop architecture standards, integration patterns, and roadmaps.
• Drive alignment across detection, investigation, automation, and threat intelligence capabilities.
• Lead architecture governance and technical reviews.
• Design secure integrations across cybersecurity and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-driven security operations.
