Job summary

Charles Schwab in Southlake, TX is seeking a Senior Specialist for Security Analytics & Operations to investigate high-risk alerts, document findings, and escalate when needed. You will help maintain the alert queue, improve monitoring processes, and support risk-based decisions in a collaborative environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in cybersecurity or operations, SQL proficiency, and experience with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity, operations center, or technology operations experience within case- or ticket-based workflows.
• Ability to write and run SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and reconcile data.
• Ability to review database commands and query activity for unusual, high-risk behavior.
• Follow runbooks, maintain complete case notes, and elevate issues promptly.
• Experience using code or scripts to automate data cleanup, evidence collection, or reporting.
• Experience supporting security controls in production environments and following SOPs.
• Knowledge of security monitoring, alert triage, and investigation practices.
• Strong documentation and attention to investigative evidence.
