Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking an IT Security Administrator to support and document security technology solutions across the organization. You will monitor threats, respond to incidents, and coordinate with Finance, HR, Payroll and IT to bolster our security culture.

The role emphasizes clear communication, on‑call support, and hands‑on administration of firewall, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools. You will also help with PCI compliance assessments, security policy documentation, and end‑user security awareness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years in an IT or information security role.
• Knowledge of firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, Windows Server, Unix/Linux and network protocols.
• Experience with enterprise security tools such as antivirus, encryption, and email security.
• Familiarity with security testing, vulnerability scanning and forensics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of friendly, proactive customer service to internal users by phone, email and in person.
• Monitor security logs and respond to threats and incidents promptly.
• Administer security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxy, WAF and SIEM tools.
• Coordinate security patches and fixes with network and server teams per risk assessments.
• Produce periodic security metrics, reports and documentation for audits.
