Hamilton County Health Department is seeking a dedicated individual for advanced secretarial duties. The role involves supporting a Director, coordinating office activities, and ensuring efficient communication during public health emergencies. Candidates must have a high school diploma and relevant experience.
The Hamilton County Health Department has a responsibility to respond quickly and efficiently when public health emergencies occur. All Hamilton County Health Department employees are responsible for ensuring their contact information is current and they are accessible should a public health emergency arise. The Hamilton County Health Department maintains a call down system to store contact information and mobilize staff in the event of an emergency. During a public health emergency, all staff are required to respond should a call to mobilize be made. Work hours for any and all Hamilton County Health Department employees may be modified to meet community needs during such emergencies.
Under close supervision, performs advanced secretarial duties such as handling special projects, assuming administrative duties for a Director or other designated office group, coordinating office activities, gathering data, preparing reports, and potentially providing lead supervision of others.

Work requires minimal physical effort, including intermittent sitting, standing, and walking; extensive computer keyboarding; occasional lifting of up to ten (10) lbs.

All Hamilton County Government positions are in-person and require regular and punctual attendance.
Work may be required on holidays or weekends, with irregular hours and shift work, including possible short-notice extensions.
