Nextpower Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting in Fremont (Hybrid). You will support SEC filings, quarterly and annual close, and external audits, applying rigorous U.S.

GAAP knowledge and strong analytical skills. Collaboration across Finance, Legal, Tax and Investor Relations is essential to ensure accurate disclosures. Key duties include preparing 10-Q/10-K materials, noting footnotes, reviewing disclosures, and assisting with XBRL tagging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience with quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Experience with SEC reporting and external audit coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (Forms 10-Q and 10-K).
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Support preparation of additional SEC filings (Forms 8-K, registration statements).
• Coordinate with auditors and cross-functional teams for external reporting.
• Maintain documentation and support schedules for SEC filings and audits.
• Support XBRL tagging and reporting processes with external providers.
