Job summary

Grocery Outlet in Emeryville, CA is seeking a senior analyst to own end-to-end SEC reporting and technical accounting duties. You will prepare and review Forms 10-Q/10-K, assist with 8-K and proxy materials, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure GAAP compliant disclosures.

The role supports equity-related reporting, journal entries, stockholders’ equity reconciliations, and SOX 404 control evidence, while driving process improvements and audit readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent
• Active CPA strongly preferred
• SEC reporting experience with 10-Q/10-K/8-K preferred
• Experience with GAAP, SOX 404 and disclosure controls
• Experience in retail, grocery or consumer products a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Forms 10-Q/10-K and related disclosures
• Assist with Form 8-K filings, proxy materials and investor materials
• Tie-outs of SEC filings to source documents and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to gather and document financial disclosures
• Support equity-related accounting and stock-based compensation disclosures
• Assist in SOX 404 compliance and control evidence
• Support internal and external audit processes and respond to requests
