Job summary

Novanta is seeking a Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting, to manage quarterly and annual SEC filings, lease accounting under ASC 842, and SOX controls. Hybrid role requiring collaboration with management, auditors and cross‑functional teams in a fast-paced environment located in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities include EDGAR filing support, XBRL tagging, and preparing disclosures and MD&A, with a focus on US GAAP compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred or CPA-eligible.
• 3+ years in public/private accounting; experience with public clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SEC quarterly and annual filings (Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K).
• Support EDGAR filing including XBRL tagging and review of drafts.
• Own ASC 842 lease accounting close and related disclosures.
• Maintain SOX compliance and control documentation; support audits.
