Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an External Reporting Manager in Dublin, OH, with strong SEC reporting and US GAAP expertise. The role focuses on timely SEC filings, coordinating with FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, and external auditors, and guiding monthly close processes.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in related fields, public accounting or SEC reporting, with supervisory experience and CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 5+ years experience in related field, public accounting or SEC reporting experience preferred.
• Supervisory or managerial experience with direct reports preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives timely completion of quarterly and annual SEC filings through coordination with FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax and External Auditors.
• Identifies, researches, evaluates, concludes on, and documents US GAAP issues and related accounting matters.
• Manages monthly close process, including reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
• Oversees outsourced staff and ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures; partners with them to implement corrective actions when needed.
• Defines and executes internal controls to manage financial risk; identifies improvement opportunities and implements solutions.
