Job Title: Senior SEC Accountant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (4 Days' In-Office)

Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Overview:

A leading, fast-paced financial services firm is seeking a Senior SEC Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a high-visibility role that offers the opportunity to work on complex financial statements, SEC filings, and collaborate across departments in a publicly traded environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Ks and 10-Qs
2. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards
3. Assist with internal and external audits and maintain SOX compliance documentation
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, FP&A, legal, and investor relations
5. Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impact on financial reporting
6. Participate in process improvement initiatives related to reporting and compliance

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required
2. 3+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting with exposure to SEC clients, or
3. 3+ years in a financial reporting role at a public company
4. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial statement preparation
5. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
6. Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
