Job summary

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation is seeking a Senior Analytics Manager - Search Ontology to set direction and lead the execution of advanced search analytics across our ecommerce platforms. You will guide architecture, implement scalable, high-performance search systems, and mentor software engineers to drive business value in a complex enterprise environment.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise and strategic vision, with emphasis on NLP, vector search, and personalization

Qualifications

• Experience leading software teams (15+ members) across multiple pods
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Statistics or related field
• Experience in ecommerce, AI search deployments
• Proficiency with search tech (OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, SOLR, Lucene, Coveo, LucidWorks Fusion)
• Strong knowledge of OWL 2 ontology for search engines

Responsibilities

• Define and implement long-term technical vision for search analytics platform
• Build analytics architecture for website and ecommerce search
• Recruit, mentor, and manage software engineering teams
• Introduce NLP, vector search, and personalization features
• Design and maintain system integrations across platforms
• Apply testing processes to ensure high-quality software
• Oversee IT services and operations
• Develop measurable KPIs to improve search performance
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering leaders
• Partner with stakeholders to align search with business goals
