Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Analytics Manager - Search Ontology to set the technical direction and oversee advanced search analytics for Cat Digital’s ecommerce and websites.

You will drive scalable search platforms that deliver exceptional user experiences and partner with product, data science, and engineering leaders to align initiatives with business goals. The role requires leadership of engineering teams, deep knowledge of search technologies, ontology design, and AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Experience leading software/analytics teams (15+ members).
• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience with eCommerce, AI search deployments.
• Expertise in OWL 2 ontology for search engines.
• Proficiency with search platforms (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch/SOLR/Lucene/Coveo).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a long-term technical vision for the search analytics platform.
• Build analytics architecture for website and ecommerce search.
• Recruit, manage and mentor software engineering teams.
• Introduce NLP, vector search, and personalization features.
• Design and maintain integrations across platforms and tools.
• Apply testing processes to ensure high-quality software.
• Build search KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists.
