• 5 years in seafood department, grocery/seafood store; 3+ years in management.
• Experience with various fish, filleting, storage and inventory management.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Knowledge of seafood preparations and display techniques.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily seafood department operations and staffing.
• Source and procure seafood; negotiate pricing with vendors.
• Maintain inventory, rotation, dating, and proper labeling.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and safety standards.
• Train and supervise seafood staff; manage scheduling and performance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and seafood knowledge to customers.
• Monitor regulatory compliance for food safety and traceability.
