Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is seeking a Seafood Clerk (Back of House) to support the fresh seafood department, helping with preparation and presentation of seafood offerings. You’ll work alongside Seafood Chefs to create delicious dishes for customers to enjoy at home.

The role involves cooking seafood, making salads, seafood sandwiches and grab-and-go items, while ensuring freshness and quality for daily customers. Join a team that values high standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Working knowledge of seafood preparations and displays within a seafood department.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Cook and steam seafood for customer purchases, including grab and go items.
• Check freshness of seafood items in live tanks; rotate merchandise and remove spoiled product.
• Weigh, price, and package customer selections using weigh scales, label and wrapping machines.
• Maintain safe food handling practices and safe operation of equipment.
• Operate and clean seafood equipment and tools.
• Follow other duties as assigned.

Our Seafood (BOH) clerks are responsible for cooking our fresh seafood, making and preparing salads, seafood sandwiches and grab and go items for our customers!

Responsibilities

1. The Seafood Clerks will cook and steam seafood for customer purchases, including grab and go items
2. Check and verify freshness of seafood items in live tanks. Verify and remove spoiled product and rotate merchandise
3. The Seafood Clerk will weigh, price, and package customer selections using weigh scales, label machine and wrapping machine
4. Work in a safe and proper manner, exercising safe food handling practices.
5. Exercise proper safety practices on use of all equipment
6. Operate and clean seafood equipment and tools
7. Other duties as assigned
