Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Heimdall team's Geometry Utilities SDK. You will work across C#/.NET and C++, building production-quality SDKs and APIs, with responsibilities spanning design, testing, packaging, CI/CD, and release.

Collaboration across teams and responsible use of AI tools are expected to ensure high-quality software. You will contribute to architecture decisions, design intuitive APIs, and maintain compatibility across versions while evolving the SDKs for

Qualifications

• Strong demonstrated software engineering skills developing production-quality software.
• Experience developing applications, libraries, or SDKs with modern C#/.NET and modern C++.
• Experience spanning C# and C++ boundaries or interoperability.
• Ability to design and implement SDKs, libraries, or developer-facing APIs.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and developer experience.
• Experience with automated unit testing and testable software design.
• Experience with build, packaging, dependency management, and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to work across unfamiliar technology stacks and communicate architecture clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, document, and maintain production-quality SDKs and reusable components.
• Develop across C#/.NET and C++, enabling interop between managed and native code.
• Contribute to API architecture and design decisions for developer-facing APIs.
• Design stable, evolution-friendly APIs with backward compatibility and versioning considerations.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to integrate SDKs into broader systems.
• Create comprehensive automated unit tests and contribute to integration and performance testing.
• Own software through build, packaging, CI/CD, and release lifecycles.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to validate generated code and maintain quality.
• Independently investigate new technologies and share knowledge with the team.
