Job summary

Real Staffing Group seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Test Automation to lead automation efforts for medical device and digital health applications. You will design frameworks and strategies, validating web/mobile/APIs and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality in a regulated setting.

You will mentor teammates, ensure documentation is audit-ready, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold compliance and reliability across platforms.

Senior Software Engineer, Test Automation (Medical Device/Digital Health)

Join a client-focused team developing and verifying web and mobile applications that support therapy delivery, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes in a regulated medical device environment. This role leads quality engineering and test automation efforts to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant digital health solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for web, mobile, APIs, microservices, and integrated systems.
• Create test strategies, plans, reusable automation frameworks, and traceable verification documentation.
• Validate frontend applications, backend services, databases, APIs, and end-to-end system functionality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.
• Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, defect triage, and risk assessments.
• Investigate complex issues, document findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and mentor engineers on automation best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in software development or test engineering for production applications.
• Strong automation development skills in Java and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of source control, defect tracking, build pipelines, and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and containerized test environments.
• Experience working in regulated environments with requirements traceability, risk-based testing, configuration management, and audit-ready documentation.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
