Job summary

Field AI is seeking a software test engineer with 5–8 years of experience to advance automated testing for robotics web applications. You will design robust Playwright-based test suites, implement patterns like Page Objects, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates should have strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills, a shift-left mindset, and the ability to debug REST/GraphQL APIs, inspect DOM elements, and ensure automated coverage across complex web architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5-8 years of experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with TypeScript/JavaScript or another modern language.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright including Page Object Models, network interception/mocking, custom fixtures, and multi-auth state handling.
• Shift-left mindset with embedding with developers, reviewing PRs for testability, and advocating automated coverage over manual QA.
• Solid understanding of modern web architectures and APIs, including debugging network calls, inspecting DOM elements, and writing automated tests against REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated test execution into delivery workflows.
