Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to drive QA and test automation across distributed systems.

You will collaborate with developers and other QA teams to design and implement automated tests that mirror real-world usage. You will build and improve test beds, review requirements, and deploy scalable system tests using C/C++, Java, Python and related tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS, SE, CE, EE, or IT plus two years of related engineering experience.
• Two years of experience building software test beds, unit tests, automation tools, or infrastructures.
• Experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, or JSON; SQL/NoSQL databases; and modern devops/tools like Docker/Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Git/Gitlab, and frameworks like Django/Flask/Spring.

Responsibilities

• Perform software QA/testing duties in a distributed systems environment.
• Develop test automation and deploy automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios.
• Improve testing methodologies and procedures to enhance automation efficiency; review design requirements to verify test plans.
