Job summary

nTech Workforce is seeking a Senior QA Tester/SDET to support a cloud migration initiative in Reston, VA. The role emphasizes test automation framework design using Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD, with web services and API testing via SOAP UI, plus extensive SQL-driven data validation.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years testing experience, 5+ years in automated testing, and AWS/cloud testing exposure within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of total software testing experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on automated testing experience with core framework development.
• Extensive experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Demonstrated experience in web services/API automated testing using SOAP UI.
• Hands-on experience with database testing and complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Exposure to cloud testing and knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
• Experience in an Agile software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD methodologies.
• Collaborate with software developers to execute automated test strategies for cloud migration applications.
• Perform automated web services and API testing using SOAP UI.
• Conduct thorough database testing by authoring complex SQL queries for data validation across environments.
• Execute automated testing in cloud environments (AWS).
• Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies, test execution, and defect reporting.
