Job summary

State Street's Wealth Custody & Clearing (WC&C) is seeking a Senior SDET to design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks spanning frontend, backend, and API layers. You will act as a quality advocate throughout the SDLC and partner with developers, product managers, and platform engineers to embed quality early in delivery.

This senior IC role emphasizes engineering-driven testing in production-critical environments, including release validation and post-deployment analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering or SDET roles.
• Hands-on contributor embedded within engineering teams.
• Experience in regulated environments where quality and control are critical.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for frontend, backend, and API-driven systems.
• Build and execute automated test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Partner with developers, product managers, and platform engineers to embed quality early in the SDLC.
• Validate system behavior across wealth custody, clearing, trading, and servicing workflows.
• Create and maintain test data strategies for repeatable automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects; contribute to root cause analysis.
