Job summary

CrowdStrike in New York City (hybrid) is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Senior Test Automation Engineer to optimize development and testing life cycles with GenAI and large-scale distributed systems. You will write code daily to build automation frameworks, define testing strategies, and ensure quality across the Charlotte AI platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in Quality Assurance and test automation development / as an SDET.
• Hands-on experience with Go, Python, Java or any other modern languages.
• Strong CS fundamentals - algorithms, data structures, OS, networking, distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
• Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience validating AI systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing solutions (mainly backend) for the Charlotte AI system using a broad tech stack.
• Validate and verify the integration of other teams and services with Charlotte AI.
• Collaborate with the development & product teams to clarify scope and delivery timelines.
• Build complete and meaningful test plans covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automated testing techniques.
