Amazon ECS is looking for a Software Development Engineer to deliver our container orchestration service, including Fargate, with a focus on distributed systems, data analysis, and reliable operations in a customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Create a first-class experience for our customers by keeping their needs at the center of your work.
• Solve difficult problems with elegant and practical code.
• Design, build, deploy, and own scalable and robust systems, taking well scoped requirements through to delivery.
• Help operate a public AWS service, including participating in on-call and improving operational health.
• Use data to guide your decisions and validate your assumptions.
• Contribute to architecture and technology choices for your features, and grow into a broader technical voice over time.
• Develop project plans and commitments, and deliver consistently against them.
