Job summary

Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to deliver our container orchestration service and accelerate adoption of containers in the cloud. This role includes responsibility for ECS and Fargate, our Serverless container compute offering, requiring strong knowledge of distributed systems and Linux.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications using C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Create a first-class experience for our customers by keeping their needs at the center of your work.
• Solve difficult problems with elegant and practical code.
• Design, build, deploy, and own scalable and robust systems, taking well scoped requirements through to delivery.
• Help operate a public AWS service, including participating in on-call and improving operational health.
