Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking experienced software engineers to build OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation and telemetry collection for AWS monitoring services.

You will partner across teams to deliver value to internal engineers and customers, while providing technical leadership across the lifecycle of product development. Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Building a solution based on Open Telemetry of automatically instrumenting customer applications, collecting comprehensive telemetry data, and publishing them into AWS managed monitoring services.
• Partnering with multiple teams within AWS to build solutions that add value to internal engineers and their customers.
• Providing technical leadership to the engineering team and contributing to the product development lifecycle.
