Job summary
Amazon’s AWS Application Performance Monitoring team is seeking seasoned software developers to instrument customer applications using OpenTelemetry, collect telemetry data, and publish it to AWS monitoring services. You will collaborate with many internal teams to create value for engineers and customers and provide technical leadership across the product lifecycle.
You will work on distributed systems at scale, shaping the future of tracing and APM services, and influencing cloud strategy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Building a solution based on Open Telemetry of automatically instrumenting customer applications, collecting comprehensive telemetry data, and publishing them into AWS managed monitoring services.
- Partnering with multiple teams within AWS to build solutions that add value to internal engineers and their customers.
- Providing technical leadership to the engineering team and contributing to the product development lifecycle.
