Job summary

COLSA is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support NASA's NCAPS contract, delivering agile software, data, and AI/ML products. This fully remote role is open to US residents, excluding a set of states listed in the posting.

You will facilitate end-to-end agile ceremonies, translate strategy into sprint plans, remove blockers, and produce delivery dashboards for leadership decisions. Preferred candidates hold a Scrum Master cert and 6+ years in agile delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
  • 6 years of experience in agile delivery, Scrum Master, or agile project/program management roles.
  • Experience facilitating teams that build software, data, and applied AI/ML products.
  • Experience adapting agile process to fast-moving, AI-driven development.
  • Active Scrum Master certification (e.g., PSM, CSM, or SAFe Scrum Master).
  • Must be willing to undergo a background investigation for a position of NASA Public Trust; US Citizenship required.
  • Deep, demonstrated command of Scrum and other agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and servant-leadership practices.
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategy and priorities into executable team plans and keeping delivery aligned to them.
  • Demonstrated experience producing delivery metrics, status products, and reporting that support leadership decision-making and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated use of delivery data and metrics to measurably improve team efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrated experience setting delivery or quality standards and holding a team accountable to them, and coaching teams to a higher level of performance.
  • Proficiency with agile delivery tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).

  • Establish the delivery and quality standards the team works to, document them, and hold the team accountable to them.
  • Adapt agile practice to an AI-accelerated pace: streamline planning and coordination so process keeps up with faster development cycles rather than slowing them down.
  • Manage the backlog with product owners and project leads, ensuring upcoming work is refined, estimated, and aligned to stakeholder needs.
  • Coach and push the team: raise the team's agile discipline, hold people to commitments and standards, and foster a collaborative, high-performing delivery environment.

Senior Scrum Master - AI/ML & Software Delivery

COLSA is seeking a Scrum Master to support NASA's Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) contract, specifically supporting NASA's Aerospace Capabilities Portfolio Office by managing Agile delivery across fast-moving software, data, and machine-learning development efforts.This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in the United States, excluding the following states: AR, CT, DE, HI, IA, KS, MT, NE, NJ, NY, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.


Responsibilities:

Required Experience

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience coaching or mentoring other Scrum Masters, or scaling agile across multiple teams

  • Familiarity with software delivery-performance metrics, for example the DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics, and building dashboards that give leadership visibility into delivery

  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and programs simultaneously
