Job summary

GM Financial is seeking a Scrum Master III in Arlington, TX to guide teams in adopting Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices. The role removes impediments, fosters transparency, and partners with Product Owners to deliver valuable software.

You will drive high performance across distributed teams in a hybrid setup. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of Agile leadership, Scrum certifications, and experience with Jira/Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit expert knowledge of agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
• Professional Scrum Master and advanced certification and at least 5 years of agile experience.
• Proficient in Agile delivery tools such as TFS, Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills at the team and management levels.
• Ability to teach Agile, Scrum, Kanban at all levels of understanding.
• Change agent driving continuous improvement.
• Strong backlog tracking, burn down metrics, and velocity knowledge.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide Scrum Teams and the organization on applying agile values and Scrum to delight customers.
• Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coach to higher levels.
• Protect the team from outside influences and remove impediments.
• Build a trusting, safe environment for problem solving and learning.
• Facilitate getting work done without coercion, dictating priorities.
• Partner with Product Owner to refine backlog and align with business value.
• Support and educate Product Owner on backlog refinement and management.
• Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Empower teams to be self-organized.
