Papigen is seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead in Washington, DC to oversee end-to-end delivery of the Plan & Strategy – PPSD & AI Drafting initiative. This role requires coordinating distributed teams, embedding mandatory human review of AI-generated artifacts, and leveraging Azure DevOps for transparent delivery metrics.

• 8-10+ years of overall experience in delivery leadership.
• Proven experience leading distributed Agile teams across time zones.
• At least 1 year leading teams delivering with AI tools.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum/Kanban and delivery metrics.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps dashboards, reporting, backlog tracking.
• Experience enforcing human review of AI-generated work before merge or release.

Role Overview

The Agile Delivery Lead will manage end-to-end delivery of the Plan & Strategy – PPSD & AI Drafting initiative, ensuring predictable releases, effective backlog flow, dependency management, and measurable AI-assisted delivery outcomes.

The role requires experience leading distributed Agile teams, using Azure DevOps for delivery tracking, and embedding mandatory human review of AI-generated code, tests, and documentation into the team's delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and manage backlog flow in collaboration with the Product Owner.
• Track delivery metrics such as cycle time, throughput, defect escape, AI adoption, review effort, and rework.
• Ensure the Definition of Done includes mandatory human review of AI-generated output.
• Maintain Azure DevOps dashboards, RAID logs, stakeholder reports, and requirement-to-test-to-defect traceability.
• Use AI tools to support status reporting, risk analysis, and delivery insights.
• Manage team onboarding, staffing continuity, and collaboration across distributed teams.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years of overall experience, with at least 3 years leading Agile teams.
• Proven experience managing distributed teams of approximately 5–10 members across multiple time zones.
• At least 1 year leading a team that delivers using AI tools.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum/Kanban and delivery metrics.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps dashboards, reporting, and backlog tracking.
• Experience defining and enforcing human review of AI-generated work before merge or release.
• Ability to manage dependencies, risks, defects, delivery timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot for delivery reporting and analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in procurement, public-sector platforms, or PPSD-related initiatives.
• Knowledge of Plan & Strategy – PPSD & AI Drafting.
• SAFe Agile experience.
• Familiarity with OutSystems Mentor and agentic coding/testing tools.
• Experience with dedicated defect burn-down and collaborative document UX.
• Experience tracking AI adoption, review effort, and AI-related rework.
