Summary of Role

Program Phoenix Technology Enablement Office (TEO) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic IT Project Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across cross-functional teams. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of complex technology projects that align with business goals.

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding them on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
  • Ensure alignment between Agile teams and broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure all team members understand Agile principles and practices and are actively participating in ceremonies.
  • Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to self-organize and deliver high-quality results.
  • Sprint Management:
    • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog.
    • Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
    • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices and principles.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of 2-week sprint cycles, ensuring teams meet their goals and deliverables.
    • Facilitate the kick-off or restart of a sprint calendar, defining clear start and end dates to align with business priorities.
    • Monitor sprint progress and remove blockers to maintain team velocity.
  • Partner with peers in the United States to align sprint outcomes, priorities, and timelines [to ensure daily continuous delivery.]
  • Communicate sprint goals, progress, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders across global teams.
  • Foster a culture of shared accountability and transparency across distributed teams.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging feedback, innovation, and process enhancements.
  • Leverage metrics and retrospectives to identify areas for team growth and improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between Product Owners, team members, and leadership.
    • Clearly document and present sprint outcomes to facilitate seamless collaboration and decision-making.
Other Responsibilities
  • Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Agile training and workshops.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share knowledge and improve practices.
