Genentech’s CVRM Research Biology group seeks a Scientist 3 to advance cell- and tissue-selective delivery platforms for nucleic acids. This lab-based role leads discovery and validation of cell-surface receptors for targeted siRNA/ASO delivery, collaborating with discovery, vector design, proteomics, and disease biology teams.

You will build in vitro and ex vivo systems, design mechanistic assays, evaluate ligands and conjugates, and apply CRISPR/RNAi to define receptor dependency.

Qualificações

• PhD with strong mechanistic expertise in receptor biology or related field.
• Proven ability in mammalian cell culture and quantitative assays.
• Experience with oligonucleotide delivery platforms is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
• Publications or patents in drug discovery pipelines encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Lead discovery and validation of cell-surface receptors for targeted nucleic acid delivery.
• Establish in vitro and ex vivo systems for delivery evaluation (including muscle tissues).
• Design mechanistic assays for ligand-receptor binding and trafficking.
• Evaluate ligands/conjugates for functional delivery and gene modulation.
• Use CRISPR/RNAi to determine receptor dependency and mechanism of action.
• Plan preclinical in vivo biodistribution and PK/PD studies.
• Communicate conclusions and milestones to cross-functional teams.
