Braun Intertec is seeking a Senior Scientist/Project Manager to lead environmental consulting projects across Minnesota, North Dakota, or Wisconsin (La Crosse). The role emphasizes natural resources, permitting, NEPA, and building strong client relationships, with occasional field work and regional travel.

You will mentor junior staff, develop proposals, manage project scopes and budgets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, compliant solutions for a diverse client

Qualifications

• BS degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of environmental review, permitting, and regulatory compliance experience (surface water, NEPA, species surveys).
• Professional certification in wetland or wildlife resources is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulations including NPDES, SPCC, Phase I/II ESAs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support clients and project teams with environmental compliance and permitting needs.
• Lead Natural Resources services within a multidisciplinary team and on individual projects.
• Collaborate with technical teams and other Braun Intertec offices.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new clients.
• Mentor and train junior staff and provide technical training.
• Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget, balancing tasks.
• Develop and review proposals; ensure scope, schedule and cost expectations are met.
• Work to grow a client base through diverse business development activities.
• Travel regionally and nationally up to 10% of the time.
