Job Description Summary
Responsible for development, scale-up and tech transfer of new Oral Solid and Oral Liquid products to the Hobart site, and other sites as needed, from internal R&D and from external Pharma companies or purchased ANDA’s. In addition, the Senior Scientist, Product & Process Technology will use problem-solving techniques to resolve process difficulties, reduce waste, improve productivity and safety, and assist in training. The Senior Scientist will also provide technical support to site operations, maintenance, and manufacturing personnel for supported processes. Additional job duties include investigating new technologies and their application to manufacturing processes and assisting in development of products.
The Senior Scientist will interact with R&D and provide Manufacturing Site feedback during development of formulation/process for New Products/Reformulated Products. The candidate will have hands-on Experience in Packaging Engineer responsibilities, Tech Transfers and Process/Packaging Validation. Will be capable of writing and executing Protocols, writing Reports for Batches related to Continuous Improvement, Alternate Suppliers, Process Characterization, Scale Up/Scale Down, Process/Packaging Validation, writing General Technical Reports (GTR’s) and solving Tech Service Requests on daily basis,
The Senior Scientist will be experienced in Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s) and execution of Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA’s).

Working Conditions:
Work will be performed in the office areas, production floor and relevant laboratories as well as the R&D headquarters site. Potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and equipment. There may also be potential opportunities for travel.
The expected base pay range for this position is $139,000 – $169,000. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
